Welcome to The Believe Studio BLOG. Did you even know this existed? It needs some serious work but hey you can totally check out some cross country adventure photos here because that's all that there is !
I'm here to announce a little change in direction, more like a U-turn actually, of Believe Studio.
If you are here and don't know me personally... HI ! and WELCOME. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and checking out bits and pieces of my work in progress. My name is Brittany T and I am a proud military spouse, mother of 3 wild things, distance runner, and child of God. We are currently living in majestic Fairbanks Alaska and loving just about every minute of it.
The idea of Believe Studio poured into my head and heart several years ago in the middle of a worship service held in Southern Alabama. The holy spirit literally drew my logo out with my hands tying in the word Believe with 31 being a bit more bold ( if you look REAL close at the B and the L , like microscopic close) 31 representing proverbs 31. I've always had a love of photography and started learning to work my camera around 2012 . However this place, the studio, wasn't going to be about photography it was to be about sharing the love of christ. It was going to be a place to share my passions and spread the word of the lord in a way that I knew how, through words and images. My name didn't need to be anywhere on this work because it wasn't mine it is about the gospel... it's about BELIEVE-ing.
With 2017 I am bringing a new light into this business and can't wait to see how it spreads.
Over the next few months I will begin selling prints and wall art that is custom to the studio. Some samples I am working on can be found on our website under the 'store' tab. These prints will be original photographs tying in scripture with a modern format. Growing up my grandfather used to create images with very basic camera equipment, hand write scripture/poetry through calligraphy, and sell his work at craft shows . It has always been a dream of mine to do this in a relatable way that fits into modern homes.
The final element which has been pulled deep from my heart, is going to be storytelling. Capturing posed children and families is such an art and I have serious respect for the masters in the field, a mold that I simply don't fit into. Writing ( ok maybe speaking ) has always been my strength, long before a camera landed in my hands, and the idea of telling other's stories through both images and words is simply fitting to who I am. Instead of posing at a random field let's capture your story where it takes place. Lets sit on your front steps, lounge across the family couch, or hike to a frequented hillside so that your memories are captured with true authenticity.
On a personal level this blog is going to grow but only with your help. I want to capture YOU in the place where you feel most connected to God... where your passion is. If you're an artist I want to share your story and photograph you as you paint. If your love is gardening I want to sit in your garden, listen to your story, and photograph you in the middle of your blooms. If you have a story of faith to share with others send me a message , I'd truly love to have you be a part of this. Even if you're far away we can still work something out. My goal is to share one story a month starting this January!
So now it's up to you friends...
